Where Can Get This One All-Clad Stainless 13-Inch Braiser Pan (Kitchen) ?

Any idea where can buy Kitchen Bakeware ? One alternate to buy the product its from amazon. The reviews for the product

I bought this pan (not through Amazon) about 8 years ago on the recommendation of a cooking teacher. I love it. First, it cooks beautifully. It's hard to ruin a dish using this pan, even if you make a cooking mistake. (One time I put a brisket in the oven in this pan, forgot about it and left the house. Hours later, when I remembered, I rushed home to find the brisket in perfect condition and ready to eat. It captures, holds and distributes heat that evenly.) Second, it's beautiful. You can serve from it at the table, saving the time to clean a serving dish. Third, it's very versatile. I make everything from Cook's Illustrated's one hour marinara, to braising brisket, to Cooking Light's spicy mac and cheese to roasting a chicken. And because it doesn't have a long handle, it saves room on the cooktop. Put the top on it and it travels to a party. This makes a great wedding gift, as well. You won't go wrong investing in this wonderful piece of cookware.

  1. Like the other reviewers, this Brasier held title as "most used pan" in our kitchen. It's great because it's so versitile in terms of cooking down big piles of leafy greens, browning meats, cooking stews and large quantities of sauces. So for 13 years, it reigned supreme in our kitchen.

    It fell only to the All-Clad Stainless 13-Inch French Skillet we recenlty purchased. The pans are in fact quite similar, but this 13" diameter pretty much maxes out our cooktop, and the aforementioned skillet does a better job of containing whatever we're cooking and stirring and mixing.

    But the brasier still has its uses, particluarly with the stewier and saucier stuff that needs to be kept scraped from the edges. And the domed lid does in fact contain extra "stuff" as well as trap moisture in and drip it back into the pan.

    If I had the choice of only one, I'd pick the French skillet. But this brasier has proved its versatility and is only challenged when it comes to making the largest possible quanity of something.

    I don't really feel the need to expound upon the qualities of All-Clad that we've come to expect. They've all been great quality, with heavy weight and even heat spread, and nice finishes that are easy to scrub clean. This pan has been no exception.

  2. This was my first All-Clad purchase in several years.

    The quality of this item is far below that of the other All-Clad cookware I own:
    - the handles are not aligned evenly to the braiser (one is clearly "higher" than the other);
    - the base is slightly convex, not flat (a serious hindrance to glass stovetop cooking);
    - the lid is poorly finished and of a thin gauge of metal (and labeled "Made in China").

    I've not yet decided whether to
    - return it to All-Clad under their "lifetime" warranty, hoping the replacement will be better, or
    - return it to Amazon, get a refund, and forget about All-Clad as a source for quality cookware.

    Update 10/08/2013 (original post 10/04/2013):

    Today I received an email from All-Clad, offering to "evaluate" my braiser under their warranty.
    - Pro: All-Clad offered postage-paid shipping
    - Con: "Please allow 4-6 weeks for processing and evaluation."

    Rather than wait 4-6 weeks on All-Clad's warranty evaluation, I'll be returning it to Amazon.

  3. After using it for a month, it has overtaken the Calphalon non stick as the everyday pan. Cooking is even and although i was initially scared about clean up it is a breeze. Th biggest test was cooking sausage that was sticking to the pan. Soaking with Bar keepers friend and a quick wipe was all it needed. This is my first piece of All Clad and I am a believer. It is worth the extra money, no questions asked. I m not wealthy and buying these by the piece so it is worth waiting and buying quality.

  4. I like this very versatile pan. It is good for frying, sauting etc. I also like that it does not have a long handle. It has 2 short handles.

  5. I recently ordered this pan, wondering if it would be worth the money. I have a smooth cooktop and my larger saute pans don't have flat bottoms which causes the pans to spin when I stir - very annoying. This problem is solved with this pan! It is very heavy duty so warping won't happen. It is wonderful to cook in and cleans up easily. The cooking surface at the base is about 10 inches, and at the top the pan is about 13". I chose this particular pan because I knew I would be able to cook a wide variety of meals in it. My smothered pork chops were awesome when cooked in this pan. I'm hooked!

  6. Love this brasier! It goes from stove top to oven to table and cleans up so easily. The perfect size for so many dishes, we use this pan several times a week. A great investment at a great price!

  7. For Christmas last year, my husband gave me my All Clad 13" brasier. I can't say enough good things about it. I reach for it constantly when I'm making a dish that requires some space. It serves a myraid of functions and looks great going from the oven/stovetop to the table.
    All Clad's not cheap, and if you're looking for a versatile piece, this one is it.

  8. My wife and I came from different backgrounds. She swore by Calphalon before anyone else in our group ever started buying high end pans and I was almost exclusively stainless. As a result, our household now contains Calphalon, All-Clad, and a couple of stainless lined copper Mauviels.I bought the braiser about five years ago. It handles frying, sauteing, and braising beautifully. I don't flip with a 13" pan so not having another pan handle in the way on the stove is a real convenience. The domed lid provides good circulation and the pan itself spreads the heat quite evenly.The best part is that after turning out a great meal, this pan is a breeze to clean. (A trick I stole from Calphalon is, if need be, I can throw in some cleanser and let it soak. Nothing withstands that.) My wife has now come around to preferring All-Clad as a result of this pan. As her pans lose the anodized coating, we're simply replacing them with All-Clad.

  9. I love using this pan for numerous recipes. Fits perfect on my ceramic top stove where I use it at least once a week. Great for sauteing (sp?) and then pop in the oven as a casserole. Use it often for stir fry. Cleans up wonderfully. Once in a while I'll clean with Bar Keeper's Friend (available at Wal-Mart) and it looks like new! Pricey, but considering how often I actually use it and knowing it will last my lifetime and more, it is worth it. Also, something actually made in the good ole USA!
