Yep, these ain't cheap but if your serious about your cooking and enjoy your time in the kitchen whisking up your favorite recipe you should consider investing in high quality cookware.

For years I hesitated and settled for good quality imitations such as the Emeril's cookware but finally decided to treat myself to the real thing and find out if they are worth the high prices. Yes they certainty do. No hot spots, better results at lower heat, tight lids that allow even lower heats due to fantastic heat retention (just use a higher initial temperature put the lid on and reduce to low/medium and you get a better result than having to use med/high on other less efficient wares)

I got the same satisfaction than when I decided to buy chef quality knives ... Once you cut and dice with a "real pro knife" you know why it cost $250.

I think of these pots as an investment and a heirloom to pass on to my kids. These things are so well built that you know they will last forever (proper care of course)

I read reviews stating that you will do just as good with the classic trii-ply stainless but these are truly a step ahead. How can two layers of aluminum not be better than one? It keeps a uniform heat over the entire surface and sides at lower temperatures, perfect for braising, slow cooking, stews etc and also quickly searing and pan frying without hot spots trying to shuffle the food around so that each gets a shot at it ... With these the heat is uniform all around, just don't crowed the pieces during the searing process.

Yep I did pay a small fortune for a custom hand picked set but these are worth every penny.

Btw don't get drawn into buying the "sets" you don't really save much except if you really need the huge 8 and 12 qt stock pots and prefer frying pans over skillets.

I selected the 11 and 13 inch skillets with lids, the 1.5 and 3 qt sauce pans, the 3qt casserole steamer combo, the 4 qt sauté pan, the 6 qt deep sauté pot and 6 qt fry basket. That's the equivalent of 16 pieces for the price of their advertised 14 piece set. FYI I keep my Emeril's 6 qt stock pot that I will use for deep frying on my induction portable burner (it has a copper core and I won't suffer if it gets stained with grease frying at higher temperatures)

I prefer skillets and after researching realized that the 13 inch can also be used as a paella pan as they are similar except for the handle.

Word of caution, these are heavy, best suited for men or strong women not afraid to handle them.

I purchased the 7-Tier Square Acrylic Cupcake stand for my granddaughter's wedding along with the Rose Pedal Baking cups w/Red Rose Cupcake wrappers........and it was perfect. We displayed a small square cake with topper on the second tier (removed the 1st tier, somewhat small for a cake). I would highly recommend this Cupcake stand. It can not only be used for holding cupcakes, but can be used to display many other foods when entertaining!

Le Creuset Enameled Cast-Iron 8-by-11-3/4-Inch Rectangular Roaster, Cherry (Kitchen) The size and heat retention of this pan is great. It can go directly to the table and keep food hot for a long time.
I use it for baking in a convection oven (mainly lasagna, and roasting vegetable/meat).

The only unexpected feature might be the weight of the pan - it is heavy for its size. I am not complaining but if you were looking for something light and easy to take out of an oven one handed this might not be for you.

I really like this Le Crueset stainless steel line. I've been moving away from non-stick cookware but wasn't ready to pay the price that All-Clad charges for their clad stainless steel cookware. Le Creuset has done it right: brushed exterior is beautiful, stainless is easy to clean (Barkeeper's Friend is wonderful), no harmful chemicals, etc. Plus the handles on the Le Creuset are comfortable (have you ever tried holding All Clad? the handles hurt your hands when the pot is full) and I love the rolled lip that makes pouring easy.
Am currently buying more of this wonderful line in other size.
But one thing to be aware of: When they say 4 1/4 quarts, they are measuring to the very tip-top of the pot.....you'd never want to cook 4 1/4 quarts in this pan or the contents would get everywhere. Useable cooking space in this pot is about 3 1/2 quarts. This isn't an issue for me, but it is something to be aware of.

I LOVED these pots and pans at first. That was until I used them. I realized that the nonstick coating was flawed in one of the pans and also in the griddle pan I also purchased. It had a little bump in it, almost like there was dirt or hair on the surface before it was treated with the coating. About 6 months into use, the end of the saute pan handle came off. The handles are rubber with a metal tip. The metal tip came off leaving a ugly looking end to the rubber handle.

I have only used nylon utencils and used and washed them according to instructions, but the nonstick coating started to flake off after about 1 year of use. I expected more life out of these things. I tried to make do, but now we're getting flecks of nonstick coating in our food so out they go. I've since learned that non stick coatings only last about that long under just light household use. I'm currently shopping for good, old fashioned stainless steel cookware. I hope they'll last forever just like my mom's set which she's had for 30 years.

Well, we used this roaster for about a year before deciding to write this review.

As long-term and loyal fans of Le Creuset cookware (nearly 30 years), when it comes to chicken roasters, we sort of defected because Le Creuset does not make a vertical chicken roaster, but their nemesis Staub does. And we do not feel the least bit of guilt about it either. Who says competition is not healthy or a good thing?

This Staub Vertical Chicken Roaster is "a beautiful thing"... Better yet, I should state that it bakes beautiful and tasty chicken! The skin becomes [crisp] golden brown, while the chicken meat is consistently moist and tender. We typically roast with the oven temperature between 350-400F. The bottom of the roaster allows for juices to collect and be poured off, and included for gravy, or vegetables to simmer in the juices or be discarded ---What-ever you prefer.

It performs in every way we know of quality cookware and expect from Le Creuset, especially the easy soap & water clean-up. There are several "off-brands" taking the enameled cast iron cookware market by storm... All sub-standard in safety, performance, and quality (and most likely made in China). You get what you pay for.

Now, when it comes to enameled cast iron cookware, there are ONLY two names to consider; (1) Le Creuset (2) Staub, so, do the research and your home-work.

My husband bought this for me for Christmas, I love it! It is packed full of stuff. I'm a beginner and didn't know what half the stuff is for, I had to look up some of the tools online to see what you do with them. It would have been nice if it included a description of what you do with each tool. I still don't know what to do with some of the tools. I also had a few cake decorating items before this gift, but I can't fit them into the drawers. The drawers came filled up. One thing I already had is the master tip set, but theres not enough holders in this kit to hold all of my tips, so thats a little disappointing, and I can't fit my master tip set in the drawers because they're too full. I might have to take out some of the stuff I wont use much to make room for the things I do use.

Overall I love it, It comes with almost everything you'll need for cake decorating.

Despite the criticism of this product, I chose to invest in another Mauviel. I have found their cookware to be first rate. Receiving this today in the mail, I can only offer initial impressions at this time. All I can say is this is a quality product and is in no way flimsy. I have no concerns about the thickness being 2.5 mm or 1.5 mm since I can't see how this factor would make this a less desirable roasting pan.

The inside is not polished and that is fine since you are going to deglaze it, right? So non-stick is not an issue for me as I often take the pan and take advantage of the nice carmelization. I don't see anything that would make me hesitate to put this on the stove and make some nice gravy.

It comes with a rack that fits inside. I was not impressed by the fit of the rack inside the pan. It seems a little loose to me. Perhaps this is intentional, as things expand when heated?

In any case the handles are sturdy and all you'll be doing here is roasting something on the rack, and then you are going to lift the cooked item out of the pan with the rack, so really the concern here is if that will work out. Seems like it will, for years and years. I have no reservations about this purchase.

While the items looked good in the picture, the product once received had scratches (prior to being shipped) and a black gritty residue that affected the sheen. I would suggest you read the reviews, although they are not always helpful, and check out the track record of the seller. In my case they were not cooperative with the return even though they advertise that they insure that the customer is happy. Had they spent more time on the product, it possibly could have been a good choice and the one star rating is more so due to their attitude, but I would not rate it higher than two stars. My cakes are quality and I am not going to display them on a substandard stand, I ended up renting a plateau. I am still in need of a set but very skeptical about ordering again.

I used these stands for my wedding reception and I received so many compliments on them. They're just as lovely in person as they are in the picture - perhaps even more so. Also, it was pretty amazing how much weight these stands could hold. I baked 3 different cakes to use on each of these stands, and though I had to resort to placing my heaviest cake (3 tier cake w/ 6in-8in-10in tiers) on the table instead, the display looked beautiful using only 2 stands around it and they held my other heavy cakes just fine. Just be aware that if you plan to use these for large/heavy wedding cakes, they may not hold all the weight.

Cuisinart CI670-30CR Chef's Classic Enameled Cast Iron 7-Quart Round Covered Casserole, Cardinal Red (Kitchen) I purchased this for my mother for Christmas. She used it for the first time last week. When she went to use it, we realized the enamel was chipped. Either it chipped at the factory, en route or just with one use. Regardless of which scenario is correct, I'm very disappointed such an expensive piece of cookware was so easily damaged. I have my own cast iron enameled Dutch oven and have had it for several years. Many pots of chile later, it is not damaged...so that is why I am disappointed with this Cuisinart piece. I intend to return it and "eat" the return shipping. Sorry to disappoint.

I am very happy with the Wilton Smart Ultimate Rolling Tool Caddy. I teach cake decorating and it has been very well designed. I particularly like the area at the back for books and paper work needed for each class - so handy to access.

The removable drawers are spacious and adequate for the items I need to take to class. The side areas for rolling pins etc are excellent. I would recommend this as an excellent product for the cake decorator.

I'd wanted one of these for years and finally bought one. It has surprised me by producing MUCH BETTER roast chicken than I have previously made using a cooling rack suspended over a jelly roll pan. I can hardly wait to try a turkey in this pan! It's solid but not heavy, easy to handle and easy to clean. I could not be more pleased. Worth every single penny! I am extremely pleased with this roasting pan.

2012: I still use this roasting pan all the time. It produces perfectly roasted chicken and turkey and without the rack it's ideal for colossal amount of lasagne. It takes time and attention to clean the rack, but it's worth it -- you do not want to use those aluminum baking pans for a turkey! And with this roasting pan you can straddle two burners to produce wonderful gravy for your holiday meals. A treasured kitchen tool! This would be an EXCELLENT gift to a young person or couple who may not have their kitchen essentials in order just yet. This thing is worth every single penny it costs.
