  1. My wife is very happy about this product. It is heavy, but feels & seems very solidly made. Also, made in USA.

  2. wonderful size for soups, stews, cleans up nice, I put it in the dishwasher, heavy for good even heating on my electric stove.

  3. This pot is the perfect size for a standard soup recipe. I have the Dutch oven and the 6-qt stock pot as well, but I still wanted this pot. I have not been disappointed. I like the taller shape; it jut feels more like a soup pot to me (I understand this is completely subjective.)

All-Clad Stainless is my favorite line of cookware. The clad technology means even heat conduction and it works on induction cookware. An extra bonus for me is the easy clean up -- throw it in the dishwasher. Whne necesary, polish with a Bar Keeper's Friend and it will look like new forever.

If you are choosing between this and a Dutch oven, go with the Dutch oven because the shape is more versatile. This pot is not a must-have, but a great have if you make a lot of soup and are looking for an addition to your All-Clad set.

  4. Top notch quality and finish. Heats quickly and evenly.4qt. size is a nice filler between sauce pans and stock pots. The two short handles make it easier to manage than a long single one. Couldn't be happier.

  5. This is the most expensive pan I have ever bought. Every time I made tomato sauce I would scorch it unless I stood right there and stirred. This pan is heavy duty and I've had no scorching with it. I like the fact it is not aluminum and I would have liked a copper bottom but that was even more expensive. It was worth the money.

  6. If you are serious about cooking you can't go wrong with these quality made in the USA pots and pans. Yes, you pay a bit more than you would for look-a-like Chinese cheapies but it 's more than made up for by the difference in performance and durabilty. No worries about lead, cadmium, arsenic or other toxic substances being cooked into you food either.

  8. I highly recommend this pot, it is an excellent size and excellent brand. I would also recommend getting other pots by this brand. They may be pricey, but I know people who have these pots for over 30 years!

  9. About 10 years ago I got a large All-Clad set with the 8 quart, 3 quart, and 1 quart pots plus some frying pans, steamer, etc. I often found that the 3 quart was just a little too small and the 8 quart was often times far too large. If I had two dishes to make that required a similar size pot I was out of luck. Before Thanksgiving this year I finally gave in and bought this pot. So far since I've had it I've been using it for just about everything. It's a fantastic size - still not too large - fits nicely on a burner but has nice tall sides which are great for anything that would have splashed out of my 3 quart. Obviously there are some downsides. It doesn't have a curled rim for pouring and obviously with two handles it is harder to pour liquid out using the lid to stop the contents from falling out. But if you use an oven mit or rag you're all set. Great size and great quality as always. Very happy with my purchase. I don't know how I lived without it for so long. Now I should not need any more pots and pans in the future.
