I purchased my first set of these bowls at Anthropologie back in 2004, and nearly a decade later, I just ordered a second generation. My husband and I use the heck out of these bowls, and they have weathered our loving attention and daily use beautifully. On two very sad occasions, a bowl has slipped from our hands and ended up in the trash, and we miss those two sizes so much that we were finally compelled to purchase a new set.

BlissHome Nigella Lawson's Living Kitchen Mixing Bowls, Blue, Set of 4 (Kitchen) I bought these bowls in pink, and it's a beautiful color, pale, but still pink, pink, pink! I love the weight of these bowls. Although they are ceramic, they are lighter than my other ceramic bowls, and even the largest size is easier to lift and pour. I love the shape. I didn't think a simple shape variation, oval with the point, could make such a difference, but it really does. Mixing is easier, and it seems like there is less splash. When they are out on the counter they add a touch of whimsy and make me smile, and part of the fun of baking is having fun. I like there are four sizes. Lately I have been using them for stir fry with my sauce in one bowl, the fresh veg in another bowl, etc. My only complaint, and it isn't a big one, is that after a few uses, I am starting to see what almost look like light scratches from my blending fork. I'm not even sure if they are scratches so much as the metal of the forks leaving lines behind. It won't prevent me from using them, and it certainly won't prevent me from adding more of Nigella's line to my kitchen. I love these bowls, and I am satisfied with the purchase.

I love these bowls, I bought them about 8 years ago and not one of them has a chip. They have really lasted. So, it looks like I will be ordering another set. I use them daily and have to have all the sizes. I love the egg shape and the blue color. My husband was in the kitchen when I dropped it and said" I 'm sure glad it wasn't me who did that, I know how much you like your bowls". Happy to see they are still available! They are one of my favorite things!

They are completely tasteful; the colour so soft and DIVINE! I bought a set today and had a ball making a delectable batch of Martha Stewart's oatmeal cookies in them! These egg shaped bowls are so uniquely whimsical and a real treat to have as part of one's baking tools!

BalasHapusThese are lovely bowls, very comfortable to use. At the same time, they are NOT microwave safe-- be sure you avoid putting them in the microwave! When one of them was microwaved for less than a minute, it was too hot to touch, it cracked, and had to be pitched. As long as you remember that they are not microwavable, you'll enjoy using them.

BalasHapusThe bowls look great, feel great and are easily used and handled. Indeed, they're so substantial that I'm sure they'll last well beyond my cooking-years. And when they're not in use, they look fantastic just sitting on the shelf. Who knows, perhaps we've got some new family heirlooms!
